Schedule of Events

Sunday, January 31^st - Parishioner Appreciation Day

All parents and students of the Academy of St. Adalbert are expected to attend the Opening Mass at 11:30. The members of S.M.A.D. will be reading at Mass and will be offering a special blessing for our parishioners. The students of the Academy of St. Adalbert will be making bookmarks that they will pass out to the parishioners as a sign of gratitude and appreciation. After Mass the 4^th graders and S.M.A.D. will host a bake sale held outside of the gymnasium to raise money for Pennies for Patients. An all school Open House will be held from 12:30-2:30.

Monday, February 1^st - Academy of St. Adalbert Spirit Day

Students may dress down and wear Academy spirit wear (black & red). The 8^th grade students will play a volleyball game against the teachers! The game will be from 1:15-2:00 in the gymnasium. The students in grades P-7 will cheer on their favored team!

Tuesday, February 2^nd - Family Appreciation Day

At 10:00, before lunch, the Beacon Street Players will put on an entertaining performance for the students and their families of the Academy of St. Adalbert. The performance will last about an hour and then parents, grandparents, and family members are invited to have lunch with their children. There will not be a hot lunch provided by the cafeteria. Family members and students are asked to bring in their own lunch. Family members may bring in a special treat for lunch for their children on this day.

Wednesday, February 3^rd - Teacher Appreciation Day

Teacher appreciation luncheon will be provided by PTU. Students will watch a movie in their classroom that will be chaperoned by the room parent.

Thursday, February 4^th - Student Appreciation Day

There will be an all school bowling field trip for P-8^th grade. The students will eat lunch at the bowling alley.

Friday, February 5^th - Academy of St. Adalbert Day

Formal Dress-Up day! Students will dress in their Sunday best for Mass at 8:30. In the afternoon the students will have a special treat and make their own ice-cream sundaes!

Open Houses - 1/24 & 1/31

The Academy of St. Adalbert will be holding two open houses during the month of January:

New Family Open House
Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

This Open House is for families who are considering becoming part of the Academy of St. Adalbert family. During this Open House, staff and students offer tours of the building, teachers are in their classrooms and available to answer questions, and current parents are on hand to answer questions from a parent perspective. All prospective families are invited to come and see that "We are a small school with a BIG heart!"
Catholic Schools Week Open House
Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

This Open House marks the beginning of our open enrollment period and is scheduled on the opening Sunday of Catholic Schools Week. All families are invited to celebrate Mass at 11:30 a.m. before the Open House. After Mass, families and parishioners are invited to tour the academy and see what our students are doing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week.

Meet our principal, Mrs. Jacobs, and our pastor, Father Barry Gearing.
Tour the academy with student ambassadors.
Visit our Preschool and/or Kindergarten classrooms and see our students and teacher in action.
Ask questions about our programs.
Receive registration materials.
