Dear Parents,

This is what we will be working on in the 2^nd grade this coming week:

 

Math: We will work on addition and subtraction facts to 10.

 

Phonics: We will work on initial, medial and final consonant sounds.

 

Religion: We will begin chapter 1, which focuses on “We are the Catholic Church.”

 

Reading: We will read the story “Henry and Mudge” and focus on sequence of events in stories.

 

Science: We will begin Chapter 1, which focuses on living/non-living things and plants.

 

Spelling:  We will work on Lesson 1, which focuses on consonant sounds.

 

Handwriting: We will practice the manuscript form of letters l and I.

Classroom News

~There will be an early dismissal on Tuesday September 13^th at 1:30.

The first week has already gone by fast! This will be the place that I will post homework daily. The students will also have an assignment notebook that they will write their homework down as well. I also will post a weekly newsletter with the topics for each subject that the students are learning that week starting September 12th. The special schedule for students is as follows:
