We had over half the class out today due to shadowing or illness so the rest watched Apollo 13 to correspond to the rocket/space chapter we are studying in class.

Math: There is a simple solutions quiz tomorrow, please make sure you are ready.  We took a quiz in class today over integers so there is no other homework in math

Science: We are learning about rockets and the NASA space program.  We watched a discovery movie about the program and the students have been assigned their rocket project.  Homework tonight is section 3 review in their books.

Math: Simple Solutions #15 along with page 76 #10-17

Science: Start designing  your rocket and decide what your propellent is going to be.  those with special requests need to get parental permission before proceeding.  Read Section 3

Science: 1-1 worksheet.  A current event article was assigned today in class.  It is due on October 10th.  The students are to find a science related article that is no older than 6 months.  They are to read and write a summary of the article and what they learned.  The article must be turned in with the summary.

Math: There is a quiz tomorrow on everything we have worked on so far in Chapter 1.  In class we worked on sample problems and went over them in class.  Study and make sure you are knowlegeable on what we are going to be testing on.

Science: There is a short quiz on the Scientific method.  We did a guided worksheet that was corrected in class.  The students are well prepared for the quiz.  Make sure you remember Aunt Mary Can Cook All Recipes.

Science: Finish the Penny Drop Worksheet number 1 in part C.  There will be a quiz on the Scientific method on Thursay.

Math: Worksheet on Combining like terms.. there is a quiz on Thursday over the material we have covered since the beginning of school.

Today is Science we made smores using the procedures of a scientific method. As your student how specific they needed to be in order for me to make them right.  The students had a fun time and really understood how important it is to be specific when writing a procedure for the scientific method.
