2007-2008 Admissions

Children will be accepted to the Academy of St. Adalbert beginning in January until classes are filled. Parents of children attending the Academy of St. Adalbert must re-register their children every year. Tuition must be current and the registration fee paid to ensure placement. Registration implies agreement and support of all academy policies.

Completed registration forms, accompanied by required documents and a non-refundable registration fee, must be submitted to guarantee a child's placement in a classroom.

Kindergarten Screening
All incoming kindergarten students are required to participate in the Early Prevention of School Failure Screening. The screening results will be mailed to parents, and will detail the child's strengths and weaknesses along with any recommendations for supportive activities.

Transferring Students
A transfer student's acceptance depends in part upon academic and behavioral records. Academic records for the student must be transferred from the previous school to the Academy of St. Adalbert as part of the registration process.

Optional Forms:

• Extended Day Care Registration (if registering for before and/or after school day care)
• Emergency Medical Authorization
• Medication Policy and Physician and Parent Request for the Administration of Medication by School Personnel (if your child requires medication during school hours)
• Dismissal Procedure (to confirm/change dismissal arrangements for your child)

Along with the completed registration form packet, the following documents must be copied for our records:

1. Baptismal certificate,
2. Birth certificate,
3. Court order for child custody (if applicable), and
4. Academic records (if transferring).

Acceptance

Applicants to the Academy of St. Adalbert will be accepted in the following order:

1. All children currently enrolled in the Academy of St. Adalbert or Academy of St. Adalbert Preschool,
2. Siblings of children currently enrolled,
3. Children of St. Adalbert parishioners,
4. Catholic children from nearby parishes without schools,
5. Catholic children from parishes with schools, and
6. Non-Catholic children who wish to use the Academy of St. Adalbert as a private school.

The pastor and the principal reserve the right to determine who will be admitted.

No child will be refused admission to the Academy of St. Adalbert because of race, color, or ethnic origin.
